FEAVER FOR BEAVER

Lysterfield Beavers leg spinner, Chris Hill was awarded the Jack Feaver Medal adjudged Ferntree Gully & District Cricket Association’s best and fairest cricketer for season 2008/09.      In front of an audience of 200 at Knox Tavern, Hill said that he was “absolutely speechless” when accepting the award.    “I thought I was invited as a member of the team of the year, I just can’t believe it.” he said.

Chris Hill won with 15 votes, three ahead of his nearest rival, Upper Gully’s Dave Goodger on 12 votes with Monbulk’s dual Feaver Medallist Jason Fraser third on 11 votes. Kyle Snyman finished with 9 votes.

BUSHFIRES FUNDRAISER
Thanks to all the guys who are sending messages wanting to help. I have been incontact with Polly and Mooray again today. We are planning ways to help out and will let you know what has been organised as I'm sure you all want to help. The Red Cross are not taking goods just $$$ but I know alot of these people will be without basic household items and toys. So if you have any ideas please call me 0425797668 and let me know. Put aside THURSDAY night for a fundraiser at the club we will be collecting stuff at the club. I still remember the terrible fires some years back when our best Clubman "Batman" could not get home as the fires were gripping his home. We all banded together for Batters Mooray and other beavers who were effected. Any Suggestions let me know Love you guys BURGER
