Lysterfield Vs Bayswater Match Report

    Bayswater won the toss and batted getting off to a good start before Adrian Paull effected a run out with the score on 37.  Bayswater got to 53 before losing their 2^nd wicket, when Ramsey Abu Jabber took a catch behind off Pete Matthews.  The Bayswater batsmen dug in with 2 batsmen retiring before we struck again.  Neil Donnellan grabbed a wicket as Tim Carter took a good catch with the score on 149 and then another single was added before the next wicket fell for 150 when Alan Gale bowled truly for the 4th wicket.  Adrian Paull took the next wicket bowled and then Tim Carter finished the last couple of wickets with a bowled and an LBW.  Bayswater finished with a very competitive 167.

    Greg Azzopardi and Alan Gale opened the batting and got the chase off to a solid start.  Alan retired on 41 when the score was on 68, this bought Ramsey Abu Jabber to the crease and he teemed well with Azza, keeping the score ticking over.  The score got to 93 and Azza had to retire on 40.  Ramsey was joined by Danny Hanlon and they plundered the batting adding another 60runs before Ramsey was well caught for an enterprising 23.  Danny and Dudley Doogood saw out the required runs with Danny finishing unbeaten on 42 and Dudley on 3. 

    Final score was Bayswater 7/167 defeated by Lysterfield 1/169
